Hugo and Kim wedding at Capesthorne Hall-Autumn
Our second wedding at Capesthorne Hall-Autumn this year saw us capture the very special day of Hugo and Kim. We first had contact with the bride and groom via our web site, they made contact with us over a year before from their home in Victoria in Australia. Planning their wedding from so far away is a difficult task and deciding on a photographer was a leap of faith for them as they only had our web site and a brief chat on the phone to make their big decision.
They knew we had many years experience as full time wedding photographers and had covered their beautiful wedding venues many times before, so they quickly said they would love us to cover their November wedding.
Kim had taken some time to travel and when she came to England she met Hugo at the Wizard in Alderley Edge where he worked, they quickly became an item and the rest was history. Hugo moved to Australia to start a wonderful new life with Kim but they decided to fly back to the UK to join Hugo’s family and their friends for their wedding.
We all know that November can be a bad month weather wise, but the morning of the wedding saw the sun shining and a beautiful autumn day unfolded. As we drove to the Alderley edge hotel to photograph Kim getting ready, we could see for miles over the Cheshire planes and the weather remained just like that all day.
Kim was to get ready on the top floor of the well known Alderley edge hotel, in itself a great wedding venue. The view from the top floor was fantastic, we could clearly see the Manchester skyline in the autumn sun as the girls had their hair and makeup completed. Hugo and his groomsmen decided to get ready at his family home and took a limo to Capesthorne Hall-Autumn ….and why not!
Kim, her father and the bridesmaids took a stylish old car to Capesthorne Hall-Autumn and after a chat with the registrars on arrival, they made their way up the beautiful staircase for a few quiet minutes together before the ceremony.
Our style is very much a series of signature shots together with informal photography and during the ceremony we captured this very special part of the day very much in the background. After the ceremony the bride and groom enjoyed a drinks reception with their family and friends in the beautiful surrounding of this stunning Cheshire wedding venue.
The bride and groom where keen to have some photographs taken in the grounds of the Hall-Autumn, as it has some of the best grounds for weddings in the county of Cheshire, with a beautiful bridge over a lake, extensive grounds and stunning architecture.
The wedding breakfast took place in one of the stunning rooms at the hall with speeches from both the brides father and the grooms. After the emotional speeches the bride and groom made their way to the marquee for their evening reception, their first dance and a great Irish band. The day over we made our way home late evening to download our images and start the process of editing.
The bride and groom headed home the very next day on a flight to Australia to drop of the wedding dress before heading out to their honeymoon in the Pacific.
And finally ……Thank you Hugo and Kim for providing me and David with a lovely meal too…it’s was very much appreciated xx
