Marton Church Cheshire

Marton Church is one of the oldest timber churches in Europe it’s a wonderful setting for a wedding and as wedding photographers we have covered many weddings there. Set on high ground the church has a wonderful aspect and internally a cosy and ancient feel.
Traditional church wedding are always lovely to cover and coming to Marton Village over the years holds lovely memories for us. The Church is close to some excellent wedding venues such as Sandhole oak barn, a popular combination. Our wedding here recently saw the bride and groom choose the lovely Swettenham arms which held a particular place in their hearts.
For those couples in mid Cheshire that are looking for a Church wedding Marton is certainly one to consider it has plenty of parking for guests and is surrounded by countryside. One important consideration for the groom and his attendants is the convenience of the pub close by The Davenport Arms, it’s also a good meeting point for guests .
