Rookery Hall – Sam and William’s wedding
Posted on 29th May 2014
As photographers we have covered many weddings over the years at Rookery Hall-SW nr Nantwich in Cheshire. Our first visit to the hall was back in 1997 in the days when David Beckham and Victoria use to stay there before they were married. In fact they famously got engaged at the Hall-SW. Moving on to this year we had the pleasure to capture the wedding of Sam and William a lovely May wedding with lovely sunshine (one of the few sunny days this May). Sam got ready at Rookery Hall-SW and after a morning with her bridesmaids and me we made our way to St Mary’s Church in Crewe for the church service. St Mary’s is a wonderful church and although there are no grounds the interior more that makes up for this as an ideal setting for a wedding. I know the religious ceremony meant lot to them both as well as their families, it was a great service and the church looked even more impressive with floral arrangements by Red Floral Architecture …Matt who is head of the company was their to also re locate the flowers to Rookery Hall-SW for the reception…and wow ..didn’t that room in the Nantwich suite look stunning after he had finished.
After the ceremony we drove back to Rookery Hall-SW for some the drinks reception and some photographs in the truly awe inspiring grounds of Rookery Hall-SW. Because we are so familiar with the Hall-SW its easy for us to guide our bride and groom though the building and gardens to make the most of the setting. For those couple who want more of a reportage feel to their wedding images we offer a photojournalist style of coverage also, but Sam and William wanted to capture the full impact of the hall so we took some time to make sure we got the shots they wanted before we headed over to the Nantwich suite for the wedding breakfast.
After they had enjoyed the meal with their family and friends we sat with them for the speeches to create a photographic record of this very special and emotional part of the day. We covered this wedding from getting ready to first dance, Sam and William also danced with their parents in the evening a very nice touch.
